For almost a decade Elite Fitness has brought Carroll Gardens a constant and dedicated studio that has been part of the growth of our community’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle. We have been able to adapt to the ever changing needs of our community members to allow them options that work in conjunction with their busy schedules. From the overwhelming success of the childcare services. To the ever expanding Pilates, Yoga and Thai Yoga programming. We have become a main stay thanks to the tremendous support we have received while having to relocate on several occasions to accommodate our growing number of friends. Carroll Gardens is a wonderful place to live and work. We are happy to be a part of this caring neighborhoods journey.

Linda Piro
(Rowing & Cycling)
Linda is a certified spinning instructor and an avid cyclist for over 10 years. She also holds an indoor rowing certification and is currently studying for the ACE personal trainer certification. Linda teaches a wonderful cardio endurance program, which uses her expertise in cycling and rowing. Her programs prove to be an important and extremely effective part of her clients exercise routines. It is Linda’s passion to give everyone the safest most result oriented cardio programs possible. She believes deeply in her cardio based routines because she too has shed a significant amount of weight on her way to becoming a fitness professional.

Anne Tiger Days
(Pilates Group Reformer)
Anne is a professional dancer and has been teaching aerobics and pilates since the early 90’s. She is a certified AFAA and IMX Pilates instructor. She teaches Spinning and Pilates and is available for private and group Pilates coaching.

Tracie Matthews
(Pilates, Pre/Post Natal & Post Rehab)
Tracie Matthews is a certified Pilates Instructor in New York City. Her professional training includes kinesthetic anatomy with Irene Dowd, Somatic Movement Therapy with Dr. Martha Eddy, as well as numerous professional continuing education courses with the PMA, ACE, Pilates Style and others. In addition, she is experienced in working with pre– and post–natal, clients in post–rehab, dancers and other professional movers.
Tracie's keen observation skills coupled with her effortless skills as a Pilates communicator challenge and nurture her clients through the Pilates exercises. She is always working to guide, inspire and challenge her clients through movement and the mind-body connection. Tracie strives to provide a quality and personal Pilates experience to meet the health and fitness goals of each person.

Allison M. DeVane
(Pilates Coaching & Pilates Mat)
Allison received her bachelor of fine arts degree in dance performance with a minor in business management in 2007 from Kent State University of Ohio. She moved to New York City the summer of 2007 to pursue a career in dance and has since performed in a piece by Ezra Caldwell, as well as, with A.H Dance Company in Berita. Miss. DeVane studied with Teri Steele at Dance New Amsterdam to receive her pilates mat certification in May of 2008. She is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Allison’s class focuses on educating students in the core principles of matwork as well as the anatomical explanations that support the principles. What Allison finds most intriguing about pilates is the mindfulness that is required. One must be mentally, as well as physically present during a session.

Ruben Villagran
(Yoga & Thai Yoga Bodywork)
Ruben Villagran, a recipient of Teacher Certification and Advanced Certification from Atmananda Yoga in NYC, teaches a well structured, breath based yoga class for all levels. He has been practicing yoga for the past six years and has taught throughout the city for the past three years. Ruben is also certified in Thai Yoga massage by the world renowned teacher Ananda Aftelbaum. Ruben’s interest in the body extends beyond yoga and massage. As a professional rock climber for the past 14 years and former professional chef in Chicago, he incorporates a holistic understanding of the body into his teaching work. Ruben’s culinary career led to his interest in healing through diet and enrollment at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. He graduated in 2007 as a Certified Nutrition Counselor.

Paulina Borowsky
(Pre/Post Natal & mommy/baby Yoga)
Paulina Danilczyk was born in Poland, and she graduated from the Polish National Ballet School in Warsaw. Paulina danced with “Polish Dance Theatre”, a modern dance company, and then moved to New York to study modern dance. She graduated from Merce Cunningham Studio’s two year program, and began dancing Modern Dance in New York. While performing her choreographies, she began pursuing her interest in movement therapy. She studied at Kelly Kane School, and in 2004 became certified to teach Pilates mat. Paulina taught her “Pilates with Paulina” classes at the “Society for Martial Arts” studio in Manhattan for two years, and in November 2007 Paulina joined the Elite Fitness Studio as a Pilates and Yoga instructor. In March 2008 Paulina studied with Mary Barnes in her “Yoga for Two” program and became a certified Pre-Natal, Postpartum, and Baby Yoga instructor. In July, Paulina’s son Daniel was born, and she is looking forward to starting to teach her “Mommy and Baby” classes.

Kendra Roth
(functional & weight training)
Kendra, an AFAA certified personal trainer, has had fitness play a central role in her life for more than 15 years. She believes improved fitness and health is accessible to everyone regardless of their age, lifestyle, or physical condition and she specializes in customizing programs to fit an individual's lifestyle and goals. Her personal passions include functional training and body sculpting for women.
